Costa Rica - Earthquake

The Volcano Poas farted (so we thought)

semi-overcast 27 °C

Great day here and we are both thankful to not only experience a 6.2 earthquake but to be at the center of some amazing events. We will both elaborate later but the suspension bridge was a amazing perspective on the torrent of water and trees from the burst dam and Carolyn while on a tour of the cocoa plantation had to scramble to high ground to avoid the rising river.

The Costa Ricans were very upset as it was the worst shake they had ever experienced.

It was serious and exciting at the same time but we were fine.

We were at a Rainforest Center when the buildings started to shake. After all seemed to settle down I left for a tour of the cocoa plantation and Bill went to take pictures. But then the dam upsteam from the plantation etc. burst and the river became a torrent. Video of the event as it unfolded is broken into 2 chapters, each 4 minutes in length.
